    • He was born on July 30, 1969, in Launceston, Tasmania, Australia. Baker grew up in a Catholic household and immigrated to the United States in 1995.

    Early Life and Career

    Baker attended Bellingen High School and graduated in 1987.

    After high school, he moved to Sydney to pursue a career as a nurse. However, his life took a different turn when he started accompanying a friend to auditions and ended up getting cast in various roles. He began appearing on Australian television in the late 1980s under the name "Simon Baker-Denny." He appeared in music videos for Melissa Tkautz's song "Read My Lips" and the Australian trio "Euphoria's" music video for "Love You Right" in 1991.
